Greeting and.. End Up in Ear Pimple ;p

Hi there,
It's been long time I didn't update this blog. A lot things happen, about having new job (twice), new experience, new people, and new life. But, can't tell it all here, sorry :) 
 ~~ I just having a chocolate ice cream, that make me feels unbelievable good! ~~
Really, I want to tell about what it's chocolate taste today... feel so good...

Why is it? It's not my first time eat this chocolate, but why does this time it feels better than ever?
Well, perhaps because I just recovery from my previous ill. A few days ago, I have experienced a serious pain, real pain! in my ear.... I got pimples in my ear, both ear... T__T

It's so so miserable if you got pimple in your ear. Not just the continuous pain that you feel beating in your ear, it go through your head, the nerves below your ear, and the most of it, it feel so hard to open your mouth to chew, pain! huugaaaah...... so damn miserable.

Well, it might be the worst pimple I ever had ever. One day when I woke up from sleep, I almost lost my consciousness. How come a tiny little pimple like that can do that?? That's weird. But it is real.
I don't want to suffer this pain anymore... I have to go to the doctor!

I know that if I go to doctor, he will just give me antibiotic.. but it might be better than to keep suffering and crying. And it is true, when the doctor have diagnosed me, he give me antibiotic, analgesic, vitamin, and extra ear drop for outside antibiotic. This ear drop not really to drop it in our ear to use it, just smear it around the pimple or pain area. That doctor told me to lessen my ear budding habit. I admit that I ear bud everyday, coz it make me feel better when I feel a little itchy in my ears. It's a bad habit indeed.
I have much knowledge from the doctor advice. Let me share it here.

So, our ear skin is different from our outside body skin, such as: hand skin, face skin, etc. It's much smoother than outside skin. If we rub it with cotton bud often, it smooth layer will become more thin and thin. And it will be much easier for germ to intrude in. Fyi, common cutton bud that you bought in the mart not absolutely hygienic. It's good to clean the ears, but not in a rapid time, and try not to be too deep. Once you got pimple in deeper area, like eardrum, it might caused deaf.

A pimple is a collection of pus in the hair follicle that may be visible from the surface (a "pustule") or may be located deeper and show only a red bump (a "papule" or "nodule"). (Bershad, Susan dr; http://www.sharecare.com/question/is-a-pimple-an-infection).
So, if the follicle below skin surface is near the nervous system, it might be affect other organ. Hence our ear act as vital organ, as a body balance system, there are much nerves connected to it. This cause you pain in your head, around the neck and jaw.

Wooh.... it's amazing to study the nerve system.

For now, my pain is lessen since I take the drug from doctor. I hope it will be fine, though.
Ok, lets just live healthy. Health is an unpriceable precious gift. Our duty to take care of the gift, and use it for good.

gIrLbaNd's Site

Sekarang sedang musimnya rambutan.. eh bukan ding, musim nyanyi rame rame alias Boyband and Girlband era.
Berawal dari gelombang K-Pop di asia dan di dunia sepertinya.. dimulai dari drama korea, fashion korea, lagu korea, masakan korea, heaaa..... all about korea.
In my opinion, it's not a bad thing. A different culture but if we can manage to filter only the good things then it should be fine.
What I like from K-Pop is it cheerful, especially for the youth, for me myself, I like korean drama indeed :)

But now I want to post one of Indonesian's girlband which is catch in my ear, it got what I feel right now, something undefined.

14 Februari.. so?

Well.... semua orang tahu nih, tanggal 14 Februari tuh hari apa...

Memang, semua orang tahu (terutama para kawula muda) apa yang dirayakan di tgl 14 Februari ini.

Yah... baeklah, petunjuknya adalah, di hari ini penuh dengan warna pink, karena pink adalah lambang dari?

Yep, karena memang valentine day  diambil dari nama seorang pastor Roma yg menikahkan pemuda pemudi dimana pada saat itu ada larangan dari kaisar Roma kepada pemuda-pemuda yang akan menjadi tentara untuk menikah. Dan tanggal 14 Februari adalah hari dimana sang pastor menerima hukuman mati karena perbuatannya yang melanggar perintah kaisar. Begitulah konon ceritanya.

Awalnya val day (valentine day) dirayakan oleh orang-orang di negara eropa & amerika, dan pada akhirnya meluas ke seluruh dunia seiring perkembangan jaman & komunikasi. Komunikasi adalah media perantara yang ampuh dalam era globalisasi ini. Perayaan lebih banyak dilakukan kawula muda.Karena kisah cinta menjadi sesuatu yang sangat memukau dan dinanti.

Banyak pro dan kontra yang ada tentang val day ini. But well, it's you who decide what is right or wrong.
Kita manusia yang diberi akal untuk mencari ilmu yang bermanfaat.
Semakin dewasa sejatinya buah akan semakin matang dan ranum, begitulah seharusnya akal kita.

The Songs of A Singer I Like

Have I ever said it?
I like Lenka's music.
Perhaps, I have. :)

First song I heard is "Trouble is A Friend". It's mysterious, funny, gothic, and very catchy in my ear. I browsed 'bout this song, and read the lyric, and I'm getting to like it more. Then, I had the album, first album of hers which title is "Lenka", I listened all the songs inside, and truly I love it! I see not only the rhythm, her voice, and the words and the meanings of her songs attract my heart. She's one of my favorite of pop music.

Nowadays, I don't know why, I like to sing her song in the second album which title is "The End of The World". It's the last song of the second album. It could be because it was almost end of the year indeed :). Similarly, I like the last song of her first album also "We Will Not Grow Old", which reminds me of something beautiful, and hurt also.
These two song's sweet, tell about hopes and faith of a couple, IMO. Whether it has different meanings of the origin singer or other fans, well.. it's optional :).

It's the day when it's over. The last day of our communication, when I posted this. I don't want to remember it, but I want to keep the sweet memories here. Still, I don't know the full meaning of "we will not grow old", but some of the part which contained hopes and faith, I like it. ^^.
I love music, and if I were musician, I would make a good music which express my feelings. :)

Sup Jagung in Da Morning






Yep, beberapa minggu yang lalu sedang pingin sekali, kalau sedang hamil bisa dibilang ngidam, makan sup jagung. Gara-gara tak sengaja mata ini melihat sup jagung instan kemasan dari salah satu produk penyedap makanan, jadi tergoda ingin mencoba. Tapi... sepertinya pasti banyak penyedapnya, secara nama produknya dari nama penyedak masakan yang cukup terkemuka di Indonesia (aheem). Yang jelas pastinya gurih, dapat info dari teman yang udah pernah coba, memang enak, dia kalau bikin sup jagung ini bisa ditambahai sayur or makaroni. Pernah incip sih pas dia lagi kebetulan bawa, dan memang sedaap, apalagi kalau dimakan hangat-hangat...

Tapi, rasa hati ingin coba bikin sendiri, yang bebas penyedap/vitsin, kalau pake ya dikit-dikit aja. Akhirnya, kembalilah daku berselancar di pantai yang ditunggui oleh mbah Google, mencari resep terpendam sup jagung home made. Ada beberapa resep sih, yang agak beda. Ada yang niat banget, sup jagungnya ditambahi pake tambahan lauk macem-macem, sepertinya pasti enak, tapi saya cari yang sederhana, gampang dibuat, dan murah meriah..haahaa.

Saya pun memilih salah satu resep yang sekiranya gampang dibuat, cuma buat 1 porsi. Mau dibuat sarapan, say bye bye for a while to nasi pecel, lontong lodeh, bubur ayam..wkwk. Berikut cuplikannya.

Bahan:
1 buah jangung manis (bisa dipipili satu-satu, atau langsung disisir pake pisau biar cepet)
1 telur dikocok
1/4 bawang bombay + 2 siung bawang putih, dicincang halus
bawang prei diiris
garam, gula, merica bubuk secukupnya
tepung maizena
kaldu ayam

Cara buat:

  • Tumis bawang bombay dan bawang putih dengan minyak/margarin sebentar
  • Masukkan jagung, tumis sebentar
  • Tuangkan kaldu ayam dalam wajan, aduk
  • Masukkan bawang prei, garam, gula, merica, aduk
  • Masukkan telur sedikit demi sedikit
  • Tambahkan tepung maizena biar kental, aduk
  • Masak sampai matang, dan hidangkan

Mudah memang. Rasanya? lumayan lah. Daripada rasanya ditendang kuda (heehee). Mengenyangkan juga buat sarapan.

Sebenarnya agak beda dari yang dibayangkan. Sebenarnya pingin buat sup jagung yang krim, tapi sepertinya kebanyakan jagung, atau kekurangan air/kaldu ayamnya? Rasanya juga agak pedas, mungkin kebanyakan merica. Dan kalau ditambah dengan irisan daging ayam pasti lebih sedap. Dulu pernah coba sup jagung di salah satu resto sejenis fried chicken, kuahnya kental, ada daging ayamnya, telurnya juga putih, bagus gitu suwir suwir telurnya, sedap dah.. Di resep ada yang cuma pakai putih telur, tapi di sini aku pake semua. trus, tepung maizenanya sebaiknya mungkin diencerkan dulu baru dicemplungin yah, coz dari hasil ini, ada gumpalan-gumpalan kayak jeli yang mungkin dari tepung yang kurang tercampur. hew
Next time, mungkin pingin nyoba lagi, pakai susu enak kali ya... must be better dah. Yosh!

Mother Day

Dear mother,
It's December 22 today, and it claimed globally as mother day, and also privately the day when you left. I can't be quite sure about it, they told me it was 22 or 23, or 21? I just too young to know calendering that day. I knew that it was night, when I was awaken from my sleep, and found that some of relatives had come to house. What had happen, I didn't know. It was like celebrating special day like Lebaran when all relatives gathered all around together.
It doesn't matter, you left because it was your time. I cried that day, and days after that. But, now as I grown up, I don't cry of you anymore. Crying will only burden you there.
I'm feeling rather guilty, because I don't remember you a lot. I remember your face by the picture. But, I don't remember your voice. I don't dream of you, as I remember (because I usually forgot what I have dreamed), I dreamed father sometimes. Maybe, it's because my memory of you is too short.
But I will always pray for both of you. I hope it will always be like that.
I hope your kids will never brake up praying for you both. I'm glad that you gave birth not only me to this world :). Thanks to Allah.

Siomay Udang (berhasil! berhasil! huray!)


Akhirnya niatan kemarin mo bikin siomay terlaksana juga. Senang dan bersyukur sekali, satu niat telah terlaksana dan..berhasil! huray! :D

Setelah browsing-browsing di mbah Google nyari-nyari resep siomay udang, banyak juga sih ada yang sedikit beda versinya. Akhirnya saya pilih dari link yang di sini, dengan penambahan dan pengurangan sedikit. :)

By this blog, I'd like to thank to all the information which is provided for the succeed of this project (Siomay's Project).

Dan di sini, saya akan mengabadikan apa yang telah saya kerjakan di dapur siang ini dalam rangka pembuatan Siomay Udang....

Pertama, tentang bahan. Bahan yang saya pakai hari ini adalah:
  • Udang 250 gr (kurang lebih), buang kepala, ekor, dan kulit
  • Ayam 250 gr, ambil dagingnya saja
  • Bawang bombay (3/4 dari 1 buah)
  • Bawang putih 4 buah
  • Tepung tapioka/kanji 3 sdm
  • 1 putih telur
  • 1 sdm minyak wijen
  • 1 setengah sdt garam & 1/2 sdt gula
  • 1/2 sdt merica bubuk
  • Kulit pangsit
  • Minyak goreng untuk menumis bawang
Dan, cara bikinnya adalah:
  1. Blender kasar bawang bombay dan bawang putih, lalu tumis dengan wajan dan minyak
  2. Blender kasar udang kupas dan daging ayam, lalu campur jadi satu dalam wadah
  3. Masukkan dalam wadah tersebut, tumisan bawang, tepung tapioka, putih telur, minyak wijen, garam, gula, merica bubuk, lalu ulet sampai tercampur rata
  4. Ambil kulit pangsit dan isi dengan 1/2 sdm adonan, lalu ditata seperti siomay pada umumnya, atau bisa menurut kreasi sendiri. Sebenarnya bisa pake cetakan biar lebih bagus
  5. Kukus selama 20 mnt.
  6. Angkat dan tiriskan
  7. Atur dalam nampan, dan siomay udang siap untuk difoto dulu sebelum dimakan... (wkwkwkwk, dasar siomay narsis)
Dari takaran bahan ini bisa dihasilkan 25 siomay, 4 buah saya goreng. Kulit lumpia diisi dengan adonan, lalu dilipat segitiga dan digepengkan. Lalu goreng dalam minyak. (hasilnya: kulitnya agak gosong, oleh karena itu tidak dipublikasikan demi nama baik kulit lumpia) :D

Cukup mudah sebenarnya, bagian yang paling sulit bagiku adalah mengupas udang. Biuh, untung udangnya agak gedhe-gedhe jadi ga terlalu banyak yang harus dikupas.  kulit udang kan mengandung kitin, agak keras, dan ada yang menusuk-nusuk, entah mungkin dari ekornya. Tapi bagaimanapun tuntas juga, dan kalau ga dikupas pasti ga enak nanti kalau makan siomay, trus ada yg nyelilit-nyelilit kulit udang..hmm

Mungkin (atau emang) lebih enak kalau siomay dimakan pakai bumbu kacang. Tapi saya masih belum mahir, dan juga karena keterbatasan waktu, jadi siomay kali ini cukup disajikan hangat-hangat dengan saus sambal instan.. manteeep. Enak deh, gurih rasanya.

Oiya, di resep seharusnya pakai tepung sagu, tapi karena tepung sagu sulit diperoleh (memang sebenarnya agak jarang dengar ada yang jual tepung ini), akhirnya saya pakai tepung tapioka/kanji merk Rosebrand. Tepung tapioka memang berhubungan simbiosis substitualisme (red. bukan nama ilmiah sebenarnya), jadi no problemo kalau tepung sagu diganti dengan tepung tapioka. Masih ga beda jauh teksturnya, tapi kalau diganti dengan tepung maizena akan lebih lembek (menurut info dari seorang teman).

Satu lagi yang menjadi maslah dan masih menjadi pertanyaan buat saya, setelah dikukus 20 mnt, sebenarnya sudah matang isi siomaynya, tapi kulitnya massih ada bagian yang belum matang. Ada beberapa siomay yang kulitnya ga lembek, dan masih ada sisa tepung dari kulitnya. Sudah dicoba nambah waktu kukusnya sekitar 10 mnt tapi tepung ga bisa hilang. Hmm... why oh why..

Tapi overall, masih enak koq..
Well, yang penting tetep berkarya dan tetap bergerak.
